January 23,24, 25, 30, 31 and Feb 1st from 5:30-8:30 in Room 389 are the training dates for the Richland County CASA Program.
If you want to make a difference in the life of an abused or neglected child this is the project for you. Afraid of babies? No problem, teens also need guardians ad litem.
This project does require an application which is available by stopping by the Pro Bono Office, Room 386. RIchland County CASA also needs you to commit for 18 months but not to worry if you are going to be out of the Midlands in the summer, they can cover for you.
This is an important program that needs dedicated volunteers. You will be appointed by a Family Court judge but will always have an attorney to represent you in court. and yes, you do need to attend all of the training dates so plan ahead!
