The best part of Thanksgiving Dinner is…

the leftovers! On Monday, Nov 25th volunteers prepared and served a full Thanksgiving Dinner ( yes there was cranberry sauce from the can!) to the resident families at the Family Shelter and St. Lawrence Place. Many have family members who are working late night shifts and knowing that today they could heat up a plate of turkey and all the trimmings was a bright spot in their lives. We are reminded that so many people in the Midlands are one paycheck away from being homeless.
